More attractive future for Station Bank

The bottom of station bank
For many years now the wooden fencing on either side of Station bank have been getting more and more untidy and starting to fall apart. Local Councillor Neil Bradbury has been part of a special committee on the Town Council looking at environmental improvements. It is gradually pushing through a range of improvements up Station bank and has just had agreement from the county council that they will replace the wooden fencing with metal railings. "This is a good example of how, with a bit of persistence, local campaigners can get improvements to their area". Improvements are scheduled to happen sometime after April of 2005.
